Cancer Care
Tata Memorial Hospital is one of the oldest and the largest hospital which specializes in Cancer treatment and is a leading Research Institute. Every day, over 500 patients visit Out Patient Department from all over India and neighboring countries.
When patients arrive in Mumbai, they face challenges during their treatment in finding shelter, and food, managing the cost of the treatment, and even a language barrier.
Starting 2021, Maya Charitable Trust has been trying to provide support to Cancer patients and children in the following ways:
Donate food supplies and ration supplies such as wheat flour, rice, biscuit packets, soap bars, towels, hygiene, and oral care such as toothpaste and body soap to the underprivileged patients fighting Cancer
Donate toy cars, coloring books and crayons to pediatric cancer patients
Provide 100 beverages once a month to pediatric patients and 200 fruits every week to older Cancer patients
Volunteer at Baggage Counter and Helpline Counter to assist patients in filling out registration forms and information regarding their files
We strive to provide more supplies and even plan on providing Chemo caps in the upcoming year. To help us achieve this goal faster and to help reduce the financial burden on them during their treatment, you can donate here.
